Run for Life Charity Run

The Run for Life was launched in 2001 as a charity event to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and support the efforts of the Munich AIDS-Hilfe organisation. The initiator was Thomas Michel from the gay and lesbian sports club Team Munich, who brought the idea from the USA to the Bavarian capital. Team Munich remains a cooperation partner of Run for Life to this day. The aim of the run has never been about achieving athletic excellence or racing against the clock. Instead, the focus is on togetherness, the enjoyment of a common cause, and solidarity with people living with HIV. Over the years, Run for Life has steadily gained supporters and sponsors. Although it may not compete with the largest runs, it is certainly charming!
