The Deutsche Eiche is located at the very center of Munich, less than 700 feet from the Viktualienmarkt. You can reach all of Munich's attractions either on foot or by public transportation.
MVV Schedule Information
By Car
Depending on which autobahn you take, keep driving in the direction of the city/Innenstadt (town center). This will take you to the Altstadtring, which also leads to Viktualienmarkt. Reichenbachstrasse branches off from here.
(Alternative: Drive along the Isar River and turn in the direction of the Isartor at the Deutsche Museum. Before you reach Isartor, turn left onto the Altstadtring and follow to Viktualienmarkt, then turn left into Reichenbachstrasse.)
Unfortunately, the central location does not allow us to provide parking spaces. But you can park at any time in the Parkgarage Böhringer (please observe business hours), in Riegerblock (round the clock), and near the Schrannenhalle.
By Plane
Travel time from airport: approx. 45 minutes
The best route is to take the S8 in the direction of Marienplatz, but you can also take the S1. Exit at the S-Bahn (suburban train) station Isartor (transfer to tram line 16/18 to Reichenbachplatz) or Marienplatz (transfer to bus 52 to Gärtnerplatz). Taxis are available at both stations. It takes about five minutes to walk from either station.
By Train
From the Hauptbahnhof train station, the tram lines 16/18 go to Reichenbachplatz. It's less than 70 feet to the hotel from here. Or take the U-Bahn (subway) 1 or 2 to Fraunhoferstrasse and cross Klenzestrasse to Gärtnerplatz (approx. 3 min).
